needing 2 quilters for fundraising.

will be hosting CPR training, instructed by Bob Fowler, EMA
at Brooke County Senior Center on Tuesday, September 7, 2010
at 6:00 p.m. Active RSVP volunteers no cost, all
other attendees cost is $20.
RSVP TRIP
RSVP will host a trip on September 22, 2010 to Charleston
WV and stay overnight at Hawks Nest. Highlights include
lunch with Governor Joe Manchin III to celebrate Senior
Corps Week and stay at Hawks Nest for sightseeing.
Includes: Transportation, Overnight Stay and One
Breakfast & Lunch.
FARE: $195 Single Occupancy Canyon View Room
$157 Double Occupancy Canyon View Room Will Depart
7:00 a.m. on September 22 and Return 7:00 p.m. on September
23. Register /Pay before August 15, 2010 no refunds after
September 1, 2010.

Ours Shop and It's New to "U" Shop. Tickets are
available at Brooke County Senior Center RSVP Office.

Thank
you RSVP volunteers, Diana Mendel, Pat Accetello, Gerry
Cross, Maggie Stewart and VISTA associates Ashley Gregorish
and Debbie Gaston who assisted with the Fill the Bus Tag Day
held at Wal-Mart. 274 items were collected to
be distributed at RSVP "ASAP" on August 26, 2010.
Special thanks to local RSVP volunteers and community for
$70 donations, Wal-Mart for $25 donation plus tag
location, Dollar General for box placement and Wesbanco for duffle bags and back packs.

9/11 Drill Down for Safety: First Lady Gayle
Manchin and BVC Co-Chair Sam Cipoletti are promoting the
Safe America Foundation's "9/11 Drill Down for Safety." At
the West Virginia University vs. Marshall University
football game on September 10, First Lady Manchin will
encourage all attendees to participate in a texting drill to
practice communicating "IMOK" to family members and loved
ones in the event of an emergency. Participants will be
given a special number to text during the drill. To view

Special Thanks to Margaret Freshwater for donating handmade
quilt to RSVP. The quilt will be raffled at $1 per ticket 6
