A Special Thank You

Our volunteers were hard at work this summer helping CHANGE Inc. with the “Children’s Summer Lunch Program” at Follansbee Park and Betty Carr Park in Wellsburg.  There were days in June they had up to 86 children to serve a day.  Thank you for your hard work, we greatly appreciate your dedication.  Mary Schwertfeger, Margaret Freshwater, Julia Stankevich, Vivian Hunt, Bernard Hunt, good job!

RSVP would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the Appalachian Outreach in Marshall County.  We appreciate you sharing your booth with RSVP for recruiting new volunteers. 

Help Needed

·         If Kelly hasn’t contacted you yet, please call the RSVP office.  It’s Brooke County Fair Time on
September 7-8 and 9, 2007, and volunteers will be needed to assist with BINGO and at the Gate.  Brooke County Visitor Center is also requesting volunteers to assist the Craft Instructor and information booth

·         Volunteers needed for Train the Trainer CERT classes September 4, 5 and 6 at Marshall County Courthouse.

·         Volunteers are needed at the Wellsburg Nutrition site and Adult Day Care, Monday thru Friday from 9-1.  Two days per week afternoon help will be needed also. (One position filled by Rosanna Maluski) Thanks Rosanna

·         AARP Community Choir is looking for volunteers. Practice is every Tuesday evening at the Brooke County Library.  Contact Nancy Patterson at 304.737.1204 if you would like to volunteer.

Brooke County Literacy Program is requesting old address labels that have a design or image.  The Literacy Program cut’s off the address and recycles the image as a sticky.  You can drop them off at the RSVP office or the Brooke County Library.
