• Wal-Mart Bake Sale - May 4, 2007 at the Weirton Wal-Mart
• 8^th Annual Caregivers Support Fair –
• St.Clairsville Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  May 1, 2007.
• Weirton United Way Fashion Show - May 20, 2007 at Williams Country Club - Call RSVP if you would like to purchase a ticket.  Tickets are $30 and include meals. A Good Mother’s Day Gift!
• Special Olympics Golf Scramble  – May 27, 2007 3^rd Annual Golf Scramble will be held at the Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course, New Cumberland, WV.  If you would like more information contact Rich (304) 387-4155 or Jack (304)723-2273.
• CERT Homeland Security Class will begin in June 2007.  New director is Rob McMahan with the Follansbee Fire Department.  Classes will be open to the public all ages are welcome.
• 34^th Annual Recognition Luncheon on June 14, 2007.  Boarding will begin in Steubenville at 1:00.  Guest speaker will b e Kathleen Roedersheimer, State Director for the Corporation for Community Service.

RSVP is trying to have the boarding at Wellsburg if not, boarding will be in Steubenville.  Exact location will be listed on the invitation.
Look for invitations in the mail in May.  If you do not receive your invitation by May 31^st, 2007, please notify Kelly at the RSVP office at 304-527-3410.  

Help Needed

·         Volunteers are needed at the Wellsburg Nutrition site and Adult Day Care, Monday thru Friday from 9-1.  Two days per week afternoon help will be needed also.

·         Community Bread Basket is looking for office help, two times a week anytime you can spare.

·         Volunteers will be needed to assist at the Brooke County Fair with Bingo and Gate on September 7-8 and 9, 2007. 

·         Gingerbread House - (Weirton Area) -Cashier

·         Brooke County Senior Center is looking for volunteers on Sunday's to assist with Euchre and baked goods donation.  3-4 Hours in the Kitchen Area.  Transportation can be provided.

·         Weirton Senior Center is looking for volunteers to assist with Bingo on Friday Nights.

·         REACH is looking for volunteer's to distribute food to Dalessio Manor.

REQUESTING NOMINATIONS FOR “Donna J. Weaver Volunteer of the Year Service Award”.

Volunteers/Stations, please submit your volunteer  nomination with a brief explanation by May 1, 2007  to be awarded in memory of Donna Weaver.  A “Donna J. Weaver Volunteer of the Year Service Award” will be given at the 34^th annual recognition luncheon) Volunteer hours and nominations may be submitted online. http://www.rsvpcorner.org

Look for Kimberly Lee to be on Comcast Newsmakers in June  Comcast Newsmakers provides free forum for non-profit organizations to present events and issues important to the Ohio Valley.  Comast Newsmakers can be seen at :25 and :55 minutes past the hour on CNN Headline News, Channel 33.
