– RSVP 35th Annual Recognition
RSVP will be holding its 35th annual
Recognition Luncheon on April 24, 2008 at the St. Florian Hall,
Wintersville, with the Jefferson County RSVP. Due to cost; both
RSVP Programs have decided not to have the Recognition Luncheon
on the Boat this year. We are planning for next year.
We
hope you will come and make new friends with us. Nancy Grimm and I are very excited to be working together.
Guest speaker will be Dr. John C. Brown, there will also
be live entertainment, and theme will be country.
Please look for your invitation in the mail.
AARP Tax Preparation
All seniors will need to file a 1040 federal tax return to
receive the $300 tax stimulus.
The Brooke County RSVP will
take appointments for assistance on Monday afternoon. Please call Kelly to schedule.
Payments go to seniors, disabled veterans and
veterans' widows who show $3,000 in Social Security or
veterans' disability benefits. Recipients must have a valid
Social Security Number (SSN) to get payment.

Needed

Volunteers are needed at the Weirton Christian Center.
Duties will be School Mentor or Office Assistant.
· Volunteers are needed to
assist the Alzheimer’s Support Group at the Wellsburg
Library on second Thursday of the month.
· Volunteers are needed at Valley
Hospice to assist with planning teas and visiting.
· Overbrooke Quilters are
needing two volunteers to help with quilting on Wednesday’s
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
