2006 Highlights
- RSVP welcomed 69 new
volunteers and 6 new stations.
- Hosted Lancaster and New
York rail trips.
- Hosted Sugarcreek Day
Trip.
- Completed CERT Training
Course.
- Hosted Recognition
Luncheon for over 200 volunteers.
- Two volunteers received Governors
Service Awards.
- Recognized the first
shining star Volunteer.
- Remodeled RSVP office.
- Donated 120 books to
Follansbee Library in recognition of WV Make a Difference
Day!.
- Hosted Christmas Dance
with Service Project. Donated 120 non-perishable food
items to Community Bread Basket/Reach
- Donated 23 Toys to
Bernie's Kids/ Weirton Christian Center.
- Donated 203 lap robes and
107 slippers to area adult care facilities and shelters.
- Served over 32,000
volunteer hours.
2006 will be tough to
beat. I have confidence RSVP volunteers will achieve more in
2007 and I am looking forward to seeing all we can do
together. Thank you for all your support and
especially your patience. Your do a super job!
