RSVP Planned Trips
February 6, 2008
Women’s Day at the Legislature: RSVP will be sponsoring a bus to visit Charleston on February 6, 2008.  Please call Kelly ASAP to make your reservations.  Guest Speaker will be Dina Martino Dahlia.  Cost will be $50/Registration Included.  A special thank you to council member Gary Riggs for getting this trip together and helping RSVP with planning 2008 trips.

Wendt touring will be making a tour presentation mid March at the Brooke County Senior Center.

AARP Tax Preparation
It's coming that time again. Tax Season. 
Greater Weirton Senior Center - Monday thru Friday 12:00 noon to 3:30 p.m. Walk in’s are welcome no appointment necessary.
Brooke County Senior Center - Tuesday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. Please call 527-3410. 

You must bring a copy of your 2006 filings when you come in for assistance. Volunteers are trained, tested, have completed a course that includes all updated tax laws and must be certified in order to offer assistance.

Neighborhood Watch Program. - by John Good CERT/ Citizens Corp Program.  
A special thank you to our instructors, state auditors office, law enforcement officers, community, businesses and WTOV9 for all your support.

RSVP helps MDA 
RSVP volunteer’s help director while in jail.  A special thank you to Myrtle and Hattie for all your hard work.  Myrtle, hope you’re feeling well soon.  We miss you.  Hattie hope your getting warm.  Thank you everyone who helped me make my bail. 

Help Needed  
·       Volunteers are needed at the Weirton Christian Center.  Duties will be School Mentor or Office Assistant.   
·       Volunteers are needed to assist the Alzheimer’s Support Group at the Wellsburg Library on second Thursday of the month.
·       Volunteers are needed at Valley Hospice to assist with planning teas and visiting. 
·       Overbrooke Quilters are needing two volunteers to help with quilting on Wednesday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
